The synonym for quality in footwear is clearly: Made in Italy. That's why we were super happy to come across the young Italian brand Solari Milano on Instagram. We instantly thought: “This is where Italian craftsmanship meets eco-vegan consciousness!”. When we were in Milan at a shoe fair, we met the co-founder of the brand, Niccolò, over dinner and were able to convince ourselves of the shoes’ high quality in person.

Niccolò comes from a family where shoe craftsmanship has been a tradition for decades. After a brief foray into the world of London finance following his graduation, together with his business partner Orsola, Niccolò founded his own footwear project: Solari Milano. For two years, the two experimented with different materials in the family manufactory until they were finally satisfied with the quality of their designs. The result is a line of beautiful classic styles such as oxfords and loafers made of premium corn leather. Sustainable materials such as organic cotton, bamboo fibre and recycled rubber are also used.

The quality of their vegan shoes definitely pays off. Because the upper part of the shoes is sewn to the sole using the so-called Blake-frame construction, the shoes can be resoled if necessary! Therefore, you will be able to enjoy your sustainable shoes from Solari Milano for a long time.
