PLAKTON is a Spanish footwear brand founded in 1995. As the brand's name and the blue whale in the logo reveal, the brand feels particularly connected to the marine world. Oceans are the foundation of the marine ecosystem and all life, they are one of the largest producers of oxygen and play an essential role in combating climate heating. PLAKTON is committed to the Slow Eco Fashion movement for these reasons - their shoes are handmade exclusively in Spain from mindfully selected, eco-friendlier materials.
We have the now world-renowned brand's vegan shoe styles, which are created with attention to detail using natural rubber, plant fibers, cork and plant-based inks. Above all, the use of cork oak in the ergonomic, super-comfortable soles is PLAKTON's hallmark. Cork is a natural, biodegradable and recyclable material extracted from the bark of the cork oak tree. No damage is done to the trees by harvesting their cork as it's regenerative. We love the brand's comfortable vegan sliders, sandals and clogs and hope to see more vegan styles in the future!
